Meet The Owner – Nina Mushin
Born and raised in Montana, Nina Mushin started her fitness journey at the age of 5. She was trained in ballet, then tap and jazz until the age of 17. She played many sports growing up to keep herself active with softball, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, and track. She was also active with swimming and being a lifeguard at their hometown pool. It was Nina’s coaches in High School that started her with weight training. Since college, she has been active keeping fit at gyms and working out on a daily basis. She believes that keeping active is a priority to staying fit and building a strong immune system.
Nina became involved in the Sales Industry after college and maintained a Sales background in the Automotive Industry. As busy as she was, she continued visiting local gyms to stay fit. Nina and her husband, Don, who has since passed away, have owned a home in Big Bear since 2002 as seasonal residents, visiting Big Bear as time allowed. They became local residents as of September 2017 when Don had a chance to retire from the Automotive Industry as a General Manager.
Nina has found her niche in becoming the owner of The Fitness Source Big Bear. Don had always wanted to own a business in Big Bear and with Nina already working at the gym as an employee, they grabbed the opportunity to take over as owners.
As a local, Nina would love to see more residents becoming active and starting or continuing a fitness routine to help meet their fitness goals. The Fitness Source Big Bear welcomes all locals, Seasonal Residents and Tourists to visit the gym when time allows and offer different memberships to meet one’s needs.
